Lion-O was a member of the ThunderCats flagship that made its way to Third Earth. As the "Lord of the ThunderCats", Lion-O held the Sword of Omens. When threatened by Mumm-Ra and his Mutants, Lion-O would summon the other ThunderCats by pointing the Sword of Omens towards the sky and shouting the battle cry, "Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, ThunderCats HO!!!"
